lOMI is a photography team built on a 22 year friendship. 

lO // LOLA OSORIO // Photographer & creative director; born in Puerto Rico, raised in New York City and later Paris, France. 

MI // SAMI TOLEDO SILBERT // Creative director & producer; born and raised in Manhattan NYC. 

Duality is what makes the lOMI team strong and its perspectives interesting. The lOMI team structures imagery to capture an intensity of emotion, via both the subject’s vulnerability and the unexpected compositional structure. They aim to consistently compose images nestled between illusion and the core of truth. Motion is central to IOMI’s work, and the team favors a cinematic approach, coaxing still images to resemble moments taken from a motion picture.

IOMI leverages both old and new forms of imagery, including film and digital.  Lola’s photographic career began with film and she still likes the more unexpected nature of the medium.  Ladders and rolling platforms are used to capture multiple angles, which in turn can be used to create lines within the photograph and present an image within an image. 

Someone observing the lOMI team on set will see two very different creative perspectives coming together in a single vision.  The use of a tethered monitor allows Lola and Sami to simultaneously direct each shot.  This unique process helps to create a comfortable and confident environment for all involved. lOMI's inimitable use of color makes their photographs instantly captivating and engaging.

In addition to stunning photography, IOMI offers optic brand management to expand the visual brand beyond the usual boundaries of graphic design.  This provides a comprehensive approach to maximizing the client’s visual impact and distinction.  Optic brand management services include art direction, styling, direction, production and lighting design, among others.
